Love: The Little Actions Mean A Lot

My Husband and I were dating at the time. We had plans to see each other that evening, but my cramps hit me so hard I couldn’t even get out of bed. I called him and told him I wouldn’t be able to make it. No drama, no long explanation. He just said, “No problem,” and ended the call.

I thought that was the end of it. A little while later, he called and asked me to come outside. I dragged myself out, wondering what was happening. Then he handed me a bag. Shawarma. My favorite Fanta. Two packs of sanitary pads. And chocolates. I just stood there looking at him. He didn’t ask if I needed pads. He didn’t wait for me to complain. He didn’t say, “Tell me what to buy.”

He simply paid attention, thought ahead, and showed up. He didn’t even stay long. He said, “Go and rest,” then left. I went back inside with the biggest smile on my face. The cramps were still there, but somehow they didn’t feel as terrible anymore. Before he even got home, I called him. We ended up talking for almost five hours. At the end of the call, he laughed and asked, “I thought you said you were too weak to come out. Where did you suddenly get the strength to talk for five hours?”

I just laughed. Because sometimes it’s not really about the shawarma, the Fanta, the chocolates, or even the pads. It’s the thoughtfulness. It’s knowing that someone noticed your pain without making you beg for care. It’s the little things that make a woman feel safe, loved, and deeply valued.

My ladies, gather here. 😂

Please help me tell the men that this is the kind of baby treatment we are talking about.

You don’t always need to spend millions. Sometimes it’s the small, intentional acts that stay in a woman’s heart forever.

And to the men reading this, if she’s always smiling around you, always excited to hear your voice, and always looking forward to seeing you, don’t underestimate the power of being thoughtful.

Trust me, a soft life is romantic. 😂❤️
