Arguments show that everyone has a, relatively, free space to air their views, even different and divergent ones. A relationship with arguments for e.g shows that the partners are free. If you are in a relationship with someone who never argues then there is oppression or you are in love with a corpse, chokwadi!
Arguments are leeway to better solutions based on the critical analysis we use against an idea. Arguments are an agent of change. The problem is when we mismanage them.
I think the problem comes when:
1. We disagree with a person instead of disagreeing with an idea so it seems you are attacking a person.
2. We focus on the argument rather than on how to resolve it. Arguments will always happen coz we have different backgrounds.
3. We continue to argue over the very same thing failing to solve it and moving to maturity.
4. We miss the point of arguing and end up bringing other issues into the picture
