Work towards not becoming a financial burden and a liability to your future husband.
Add value to your life, get something doing that fetches you money no matter how small.
Start a business. OK, or new female bags, shoes, hair, clothes, perfume, etc, is a good business. It moves. Look for a business you can do that will fetch you money.

Learn a skill. Fashion designing, bead making, baking, event decoration and management, makeup artist, book editing, publishing, coding, blogging about your passion, graphic design, photography, etc. They are a lot of skills you can learn.
The point is, to work towards earning something for yourself. Don't depend on a man for everything for survival or to pay your bills. It will earn you a lot of respect.
With the economic realities on the ground, it is not even wise for a lady to enter into marriage without doing anything to make money.
Don't be the kind of lady that just wants to relax and enjoy and be taken care of. Have something to do.
You will be glad you did.
