Inbox: Hello Bishop, just want to ask how can one forgive himself of mistake made and start afresh

The first thing we need to realise is that God loves us despite our mistakes and how big or small they are.
Number 2 is the fact that we should love ourselves. Mark 12:31 "The second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself. No other commandment is greater than these." According to the scripture we must love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

| How Can I Forgive Myself? |
That love should give us some self-worth and understanding that if God loves us and we love ourselves, then we are standing at a great place.
The third is that, we are human, therefore, whilst trying, we do make mistakes. We better not, but we do! The only good part about falling is that you are not destroyed by falling but by your failure to rise up again! So the target is to rise up again!
The greatest part is that: "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous."(1 John 2:1). It is also gteat to note that: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."(1 John 1:9).
If he forgives us then it would be wrong for us not to forgive ourselves of anything that we would have done wrong. It is only Satan who rejoices in you feeling condemned...Satan condemns, God convicts. Condemnation is that feeling that, you sinned and thete is no hope for you. Conviction is the feeling that, you sinned but God's arms ate still open.
Therefore rejoice in the fact that: "Romans 8:1,: "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
Forgive yourself!!!!
