A MUST-READ FOR EVERY PARENT
It is not enough to show your children the way they should go. It is not sufficient to teach them what to do or tell them what they should never say or do. It is not adequate to make resources available to care for their needs.

Parents must live by being good examples.
I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you.

It is a child of today that will grow up to become either a responsible or irresponsible adult in the future. It depends on how he or she is being raised and trained.
Whatever result you want to see in your children now and tomorrow is up to you as parents. Your positive contributions are greatly required.

Hear these important things:
(1) Never do what you will not be proud of in the presence of your children. They learn faster than you think.
(2) Never say or do what you would not want to see or watch them do. They see you as a role model whether consciously or unconsciously.
(3) Never fail to show them the way of the Lord. It is the gateway to your peace and rest of mind. When they please God, they will make you happy in the process.
(4) Never fail to know God and serve Him as his parents. That's how the children will catch the vision of being useful to God, the body of Christ and society at large.
(5) Never joke with prayers for your children. Great destinies are birth on your knees through great intercession.
(6) Never beat your spouse in their presence. They will pick violence from you beyond your imagination. They will grow up to do the same and they may never love you.
(7) Never fail to teach and train them well. They are exposed to the wrong things from friends, society, and media. Let your teaching and training prevail.
Please note that many voices will be speaking to your children. Make your voice the loudest and most impactful.
(8) Never demonstrate hatred, rejection, and sentiment toward any of your children because you think the child is not performing up to your expectations now. Such practices will backfire.
(9) Never fail to provide to meet the need, not the greed of your children.
Please note that provision is not enough without genuine love, friendship, and spending quality time with them.
(10) Never fail to build a great life and marriage worthy of emulation.
Think of tomorrow, your children will either be a better version of you that will make you proud or the bitter version of what you don't want that will pain you.
They will either be arrows in your hands sent to the world as a blessing or arrows in your heart causing you agony.
You say God forbid, the best is to do the right things from now onward in obedience to God's expectation from you as parents because you will give account and what they become in life is your evaluation point.

Your children will be great and grow up to become godly and responsible adults in the name of Jesus, Amen.
