David often complained of God's apparent absence: "Lord, why are you standing far away. Why do you hide when l need you the most?"
PSALM 10:1 Of course God hadn't really left David, and he doesn't leave you.You'll feel abondoned when stuck in countless years of unemployment, delayed vision, chronic disease or marriage crisis. Your Prayers seem to bounce off the ceiling. God has promised repeatedly "I'll never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:8 But he has not promised "You'll always feel my presence."
God is more concerned about you trusting him than you feeling his presence. Faith not feelings please God. Never doubt in the dark what God told you in the light.
Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus even when they are full of tears. Continue to love, trust, obey, and worship God, even when you have no sense of his presence or visible evidence of his work in your life. God admits that sometimes he hides his face from us, but not as abandonment, but as a test of faith!!
