After 28 years in ministry (as of 2023) I have learnt something that so struck my heart and have been teaching my pastors. Allow me to share this with you briefly.
Whenever we start the ministry, usually, those in trouble, distress, debt, deep poverty, sickness rush to us: "All those who were in distress or in debt or discontented gathered around him, and he became their commander. About four hundred men were with him (1 Samuel 22:2). This is no misnomer because the anointing comes to break such yokes(Isaiah 10:27)...so do not cry that rich people may follow you! David had very defeated people around them and he mad them into mighty men: "...and after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David...(2 Samuel 23:9).

Instead of following up the rich to beg and losing your integrity and respect, use the anointing on you to develop your own prosperous and God-fearing great sons and daughters. That is how you, "...make full proof of thy ministry(2 Timothy 4;5). Even Jesus "made" fisherman into fishers of men(Mark 1:17). That is your duty as a pastor: to "make" a person into their true destiny!
Listen. If you do not "make" the people you have "into"...then your church will remain like it is. 2020-2030, apart from, my other duties of making, I will make a 1000 people rich, others evangelists, pastors, business people, land-owners, married, deliverance ministers, fruitful et.al.
Before I close, let me give you one reason most pastors fail to "make." Many of us are in distress because we are not exactly where we expected. Instead of encouraging our flocks we take out or frustrations on them. instead of feeding them we are busy beating them, deamining them, comparing them with "better" churches, choirs, givers etc. The honey-bee, will get into a place where there is dirt, ignore the slime and choose only the flower petals takes them out of the garbage place into a place where it produces honey! Great pastor that. the fly, will ignore all flowers and look for garbage or excretion choose, only that and export cholera from there.
Every person has a garbage and petal side in them. What type of pastor are you? Honey-bee or fly? Instead of finishing all your energy on people faults why not do so on their strengths whilst working out their weaknesses in the background? are you producing a holy and confident people who will possess mountains or a fearful and beaten down people who will remain as they were?
