Good morning children of God. Are you thinking about missing church this morning? Think again! Have you ever wondered why a church meeting is called a service?
I had no idea until I started driving. That's when I found out, that for a car to function efficiently it needs to be serviced regularly. If anyone has ever had a car serviced, they can testify that car performance before and after service is completely different.
So when Hebrews 10:25 says "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching", we are being encouraged to never miss a day of service, because during a service God does a work in us.
He fixes what was broken, replaces what was worn out, renews our strength, restores hope, kindles faith, revives what was dying, strengthens feeble knees, puts a new song in our mouths, gives rest to our weary souls, heals our sicknesses; the list is endless.

There are many times that I recall walking into a service, weary, worn and discouraged, but I walked out restored and rejuvenated. I walked out with this assurance that I could face what was giving me sleepless nights.
So what am I saying, don't miss service because you are discouraged, GO BECAUSE you are discouraged? Don't miss church because you are hurt, GO BECAUSE you are hurt. Don't miss church because last week things did not go your way, GO BECAUSE things did not go your way. The Holy Spirit is your fixer, your mechanic, therefore you should not shy away from Him when you are weak. On the contrary, run to him!!!! Pick up yourself and go for service today, and God will fix you up! Hallelujah.
