Ezekiel Guti, The Servant Of The Lord

There was a story which kept popping up among us young ministers in the early eighties, about seven angels one day appearing to Apostle Ezekiel Guti as he was in prayer with a certain young man after a day of fasting.

Apparently, the young man was the one who recounted the encounter. Sometimes you hear these stories and are not sure what to make of them.

Sometime later this young man who was now a senior minister in the church in Malawi attended a leadership conference where I was in attendance, he was called Pastor Chiteka. He recounted how one day after a day of fasting when he and Apostle Guti retreated into a room to pray, suddenly a bright light filled the room and seven men appeared.

He described the terror he felt as he dived under a bed, to his horror he continued to see everything despite the bed and mattress he told of how he covered his face but could still see through his hands. He said Apostle Guti just stood there in an apparent conversation with the angels.

While I never had such an out of the world encounter with Apostle Guti I was exposed to his ministry well enough to see and hear God vindicate and endorse this mighty man of God at both a personal level and as he ministered to others. I also know scores of people who were touched in wonderful ways through his vast ministry network.

I had and have direct access to the people who were there in the early days of the establishment of his work who have powerful and incredible stories to tell. He does not even need anyone to speak on his behalf, his work speaks volumes. God’s servants are not to be worshipped but there is an honor that is due to them. Vanhu vakuru vakadai hava batwe batwe nemaoko nemiromo inetsvina, Mwari wavo anovada uye anovarwira, munhu unozurura misuwo yedzimwe mhepo dzausingazogoni kumisa. Madziva aya.

Romans 13:7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Judges 7.18 When I blow the trumpet, I and all who are with me, then you also blow the trumpets on every side of the whole camp, and say, ‘The sword of the LORD and of Gideon!

1st Timothy 5.19 Do not entertain an accusation against an elder unless it is brought by two or three witnesses.

2 Samuel 1:14 "David asked him, "Why weren't you afraid to lift your hand to destroy the LORD's anointed?"

Numbers 12:8 "With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?"
