26 Responsibilities Of A Husband To His Wife

1) You cannot live without misunderstanding. Know how to reconcile and forget her mistakes (Ephesians 4:29) (Matthew 6:14)
2) Your wife is a weak vessel. Honour her and do not drive her like a man (1 Peter 3:7)
3) Your wife is not perfect, she has weaknesses. Do not always point out her faults (1 Corinthians 13:5)
4) Your wife is not your housemaid. Do not beat her (Colossians 3:9)
5) Love your wife as you love yourself (Matthew 7:12) (Colossians 3:9)
6) Your wife should be the closest to you. Give her much more attention than your parents, friends and kids (Genesis 2:24)
7) Do not use abusive words on her (Ephesians 4:29)
8) Provide food, clothing and other essentials (1 Timothy 5:8)
9) Take care of her in illness, pregnancy and when she is nursing a baby (Genesis 2:18)
10) Do not deprive her of sex and tolerate her when she cannot give sex (1 Corinthians 7:4-5)
11) Assist her in taking care of home and kids (1 Peter 3:8)

12) Do not compare her with others and neighbours (Ephesians 5:28)
13) Do not discuss her or report her to 3rd parties if she offends you. Talk to her yourself and sort out the issues (Matthew 18:15).

15) Do not permit strange women in your life (Proverbs 22:14)
16) Go out with her during leisure hours (Ecclesiastes 4:9)
17) Always discuss with her and seek her counsel on plans for the future. Her advice is valuable (Proverbs 15:22)
18) Do not be angry with her when she is also angry. Be silent until she is calm (Proverbs 37:8)
19) Observe family prayer and bible study times with your wife and kids (Hebrews 10:25)
20) You are the head of the home. Know this and join her in bringing up the kids in the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 29:15)
21) Do not allow money issues to cause conflicts. Let her know when you have and do not have. If it is possible, have one purse (Genesis 2:25).
22) Accept the meals she prepares, eat at home, eat with her and be satisfied with what she prepares (1 Timothy 6:6)
23) Women love to stay with their husbands. Stay with her as much as possible, keeping her company (Ecclesiastes 9:9)
24) Do unto her as you want her do unto you (Matthew 7:12)
25) Remember that you and she are not from the same background. Be patient to learn and understand her ways and character (Malachi 2:14-15).
26) Do not be a stumbling block to her salvation by making lawless and ungodly demands that displeases God in order to please you. Her loyalty to God comes first if you truly love her (Matthew 22:37).
