This Will Blow Your Mind - 7 Mistakes To Avoid Before Marriage By EA Adeboye

Enoch Adeboye is a famous Nigerian pastor, popularly known as E.A Adeboye. He is the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Nigeria. His teachings and counseling has helped a lot of young people from their salvation to their relationship life.

In his numerous teachings on YouTube, I chanced on his message “7 mistakes to avoid before marriage” and this has been an eye opener for me.

Below are the seven things he spoke about, I hope this also helps you in your relationship:

1. Don’t Marry a Man Who Has No Job

Before God gave Adam Eve, he gave him a job, which was the garden. God said this is the garden keep it. So those who come to you and say sister, thus sayeth the Lord, you are going to be the star in my firmament you need to be careful about them. You need to ask him if he has a job. A man is to provide for the house so if he has no income, he shouldn’t marry.

Those who would not work should not eat and if they can’t eat, they can’t even marry.

Don’t Marry a Delilah

Proverbs 31:30 says that charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Delilah was a beautiful lady and very charming which attracted Samson but since she didn’t fear God, finding it easy to destroy Samson. Don’t marry for beauty sake. Marry a God-fearing lady, if you marry with beauty it will fade away since everyone grows old.

Don't Marry an Unbeliever

It is better to be single than it is to be married to the devil. Don’t ever think that you can marry somebody and then change the fellow. If the fellow does not change before you marry, it is a settled matter. But trying to pull the person out sin will end up pulling you down. If he is not a true child of God, don’t be associated with him. The word of God states it clearly that do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. And if somebody pretends that he/she is a Christian and he is following you to church because he is thinking he/she could get you. All you need to do is watch and pray, the bible says by their fruits you shall know them not by their talk. Marry a prayer warrior.

Don’t Marry a Fool

Seeing him so lanky, handsome, tall, rich doesn’t mean is the one. Goliath was tall but he lost his head, King Saul was lanky he lost his crown. His stature doesn’t matter, his wealth is of no account. The physique and wealth should be a bonus from God, if he has all these and has no wisdom, how does he head the marriage.

Don’t Marry a Girl Who Is Lazy

Every lazy lady can be fished out by their behaviour and attitude. Pay her family a surprise visit and observe things for yourself. If she was lazy when she was a girl, you will know. And if she has been lazy since childhood, how will she cope when she becomes a wife with children.

Don’t Marry a Lady Who Cannot Cook

The generation of this 21st century is prone to easy and fast things. All they care about is wealth and beauty. A lady who always tells you to buy fast foods, go to the restaurant is a lover of already finished foods. Marry a lady who knows how to cook since most of the ladies do not know how to cook. You want to eat food in your own house, a lady who cannot cook will not be a good wife.

Don’t Marry a Girl Who Can’t Dress Well

You always want your family and your friends to discuss about your woman anytime they see her. Don’t give them the chance to say bad things about her. Let them say good and lovely things about her. A girl who is always after flashy things and jewellries will always worship them for the rest of her life.

What do you think about these points, you can drop your contributions and suggestions in the comment box. Beware of who you spend the rest of your life with.
