Zimbawean Father Of Pentecostalism, E.H Guti On Zimbabwean Situation.

Greetings,

It is necessary to address you concerning the current affairs in our beloved country. Children of God kindly maintain your position of prayer for the nation.

Do not be found commenting or speaking about the political environment in our nation. Avoid political discussions. Our responsibility is to pray for those in authority.

1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Pray for the Holy Ghost to rule over the military, the police and political leaders so that we have peace in our country. Pray against injuries, damage to property, violent revolts, and deaths of innocent people. Pray also for our hospitals to be fully functional and our children not to be disturbed in their education in schools. Let's continue to pray for the will of God and for peace to rule our country and the restoration of our economy.

As we move towards December again, pray against bloodshed, loss of lives through either accidents or even political violence. Pray for the grace of God to sustain us as a Church and as families and financial provision even in this tough economic environment.
Psalms 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Habakkuk 3:17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: 3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Be alert and up-to-date with the news, but depend on the Holy Spirit for guidance. Our fulfilment, hope and strength is in the Lord.

Good bless you all
