Famine is not entirely a negative thing. Not having enough food stocks during the famine is. Famine takes life from crops we so dearly need but at the same time it destroys many pests in preparation for better days of planting and harvesting from healthier crops.
However, there is need to work our way out of persistent famine and walk in the light of God's prosperity over the nations. Zimbabwe has been going through a famine for long and God desires to bring restoration to it. Indeed there is a time and season fir all things under the earth (Proverbs 3).Going through the history of Israel in the book of Exodus has shown me that a nation may be birthed in a supernatural way, have Moses, an educated, powerful, charismatic and astute leader, have many craftsmen, many prophets and prophetesses, singers and songstresses, and an apparent future before it but still wonder in a wilderness for 40 years instead of 30 days. Zimbabwe has stayed too long in the famine ... yet God says, "There Is Hope, Zimbabwe."

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!" (Psalm 33:12)
I love you Zimbabwe.
