One man in the Bible gains my attention when we talk about visiting cities. His name is Abraham. Hebrews 11:9-10 says : " By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God."

Heaven is more beautiful than Kappa, Paris, Dubai and....all put together. The architecture and builder is God Almighty and the place is clean and holy! Abraham had a house in Canaan but he left it and lived in tents. Houses are permanent yet tents are temporary. He moved to the temporary-mood coz he was searching for a better city. WHAT YOU SEARCH FOR DETERMINES HOW YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE! Abraham was looking forward to a better city whose architect and builder was God therefore lived like a stranger on earth...because he was!
This earth is a foreign land to our spirits. Brethren look for a better city and change the way you live. -Pastors should preach the truth and refrain from over-emphasising worldly things. They must be strangers!
-Do not live life like you are the owner of the world...you are a sojourner and a stranger here. Refrain from worldly living and the works of the flesh. You are a stranger in a foreign land. Don't forget home!
-Always know you are living in tents because this is not home, we will get home to a better City.
Meanwhile work and make money but always know that we are strangers here maybe for 120 years then home recalls. Receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour and be serious about your journey to that City! Don't live like you have arrived!
