Self Control Series: How Satan Tries To Resuscitate The Old Dead Man

When you repent and come to God, the old man, who was living before tries to come back and relive your life again.

The old nature will try to come back again. It is your obligation to resist the same old person or he will come again and ruin your new life in Christ.2 Cor 5:17 “Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things have become new.”

If you were a prostitute or thief or adulterer or drunkard or someone with a riotous temper or whatever that you were, the devil will have a record of what he knows you really love and lust after and will not waste time with too many things that he knows you do not like, but will put extra effort on your areas of weakness. If you abhor cigarette smoking then the devil will not waste time with cigarettes but he will get information from his intelligence officers. If they tell him that you had problems with the opposite sex he will tell his demons to focus on that area and before you know it you feel the pinch that the old man is coming back to life. James 1:13 ¶ Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. It is apparent from the Scripture that everyone is tempted by their own lust, something that you already have a taste for. The devil will not spend time on something that you do not have a taste and lust for. The old man is watching you and is sure to show up if he has not already started to show up.
God spoke to me This is where the issue of self-control comes in. God spoke to me on 26/09/09 at 06:13 that I should teach the church on self-control or else people would backslide when the old man catches up with them. I thank God for having revealed this to me because it has already begun to help me in my spiritual walk as the old man tries to come back and kill my new life. In order for us to be successful in life, our spiritual walk and in the vision we need to be temperate, we need self-control.

Join me in my next lesson as we discuss self control.

Receive Jesus Christ today and go to church for spiritual fellowship.
