Believers Should Hate The World! Which World?

As a young boy beginning to be serious in the things of God I encountered this scripture. It shook me because it was very definitive. It was an “either,” “or” kind of verse. It had no towing line, “you either love God and be the enemy of the world” or “you love the world and be the enemy of God.”

It would be vital at this juncture to explain what the world is!

There are 5 basic levels of the world;

1. The cosmos or the physical world. This is God’s creation with reference to the earth as we know it. It is the planet or the ground and the waters. In this level Christians are called upon to be witnesses to the end of the end of the cosmos or the earth (Acts 1:8).

May God give you authority and resources to preach to the ends of the earth!!!

“I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name”(Isaiah 45:3).

Excellence

2. The human world. This is the dry land where humans can live on. It is not the seas. When Caesar wanted to take a census for the whole world it did not mean even in the waters, it meant, his view of all inhabited places(Luke 2:1). When God will judge the world he will judge the inhabitants of the world, the human world (Psalm 9:8)Jesus told us that the gospel shall be preached in all the world(Matthew 24:14).

May God capacitate you to reach the whole human world with the gospel of Christ. You are not a local pastor you are an international preacher.

The son of man has all authority over all the people on the earth. He designated it to the Apostles so that whatever they bind on earth is bound in Heaven (Matthew 16:19, 18:18).

May you receive apostolic grace to take over nations in your hands. Release the jacket!

3. And 4 are the temporal and coming worlds. This are two different seasons. The temporal world is this one which Satan disfigured and has placed systems to function on his behalf. A person can be great in “this present world” and be a nothing in “the world to come”: (Matthew 16:26). What we call great things in this world may be non-entities in the next world! Poor, young people, rejected and dismissed in “this” world, tirelessly working their back to win souls will shine like the sun, in “that” world (Daniel 12:3).

Do not take this earth as if to suggest that it is everything!

While on this earth use whatever life, strength, power, and resource you’ve got so that you may be great in the world to come.

The Divas of this age will live like Lazarus in that age, and the Lazarus like Divas!
“What is dropping all its leaves in this season will bloom in the next season.
The corruptible will become incorruptible
Death will no longer be known, we shall shout, “Oh death, where is your sting?”
God will wipe away all our tears.
Even here on earth may God release you from your disappointing season and release you into breakthrough, power, anointing and grace.

5. The moral world. This talks of the systems of the world. This has nothing to do with land or water or otherwise. It has to do with systems and people that govern the earth. These corrupt systems are set in place to fight against the plans and purposes of God.

The people and their systems are hostile to everything that represents God and His Word.

Jesus promised us that the world would hate us (John 15:18-19).

May God grant you grace to overcome this world and its systems. It is this world that God does not allow us to love!
