Never Let The Servant Of God Faint!

While I was in school, I used to do short-distance athletics. I used to run the hundred (100) metre race. That was easy because I would just give my all for a few seconds then rest after that.

However at some point we were forced to participate in the marathon race which would be more than ten (10) kilometres. This one was a great challenge.

I ran until I felt I could do it no more. I got to a point where I felt that I was running out of my breath and almost fainting. As I was about to give up, I heard the people in the group I was representing shouting my name and the name of the group. When I checked to see, I saw old and young, boys and girls chanting my name.

What an honour! All the hopes and aspirations of these people lay on my shoulders. That honour really encouraged me and all of a sudden I felt refreshed and invigorated to finish my course.
Fainting
Ladies and gentlemen ministry is not a short sprint. Ministry is a marathon and we all tend to get to a point where we feel faint until someone, somewhere refreshes us by morally supporting us: “For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.

Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus; And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more” (2 Corinthians 7:5-7). God uses the church to comfort and refresh the servants of God. That is a great honour!
