Evangelist Paul Saungweme: The Missing Link!

I have been preaching the gospel for just over 23 years. Arriving on the scene and staying there I have noticed many people embark on and leave the ministry in much the same way.

One of the greatest challenges there is, is non other than not being founded thus being tossed to and fro by modern currents of doctrine. One man has stood the test of time ever since the pre-independence era of Zimbabwe preaching one message but never sounding monotonous: Jesus! This is non other than Evangelist Doctor Paul Zuvarimwe Matsangaise Saungweme.

I have known this man from afar and from close-up. All I can say is attest to the fact that this man is a genuine servant of God. A son of the great Pentecostal father Archbishop Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti, Saungweme has brought many souls to Christ through Gospel crusades and revivals. He has been accorded a great status as a recognised Evangelist of the Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe the largest grouping of Pentecostal churches in the nation. He is also accepted amongst the mainline churches which readily work in his crusades. The crusades have brought salvation, great healing miracles, and revival to many within and without Zimbabwe.

As a close follower of the developments in the ministry Evangelist leads, Jesus For Africa Evangelistic Ministries I have observed that there are a great number of people who support his great initiative, the ministry partners and board. However, being both a product of, and follower of Reinhard Bonke's Christ For All Nations team, I discern a missing link in the ministry of the Evangelist. For me the missing link is the failure of a nation not just to recognise and receive God's gift to us but also a conscious decision to support our own. Foreign evangelists refuse offerings because their budgets would already have been taken care of. Some of them even have the liberty to pay pastors who work with them and invest in different forms of movable and immovable properties for the sake of the gospel. We, are found short in this regard. Just a little something towards the preaching of the gospel would go a long way. Someone once said, "if you think little is nothing try drinking a little poison."

In closing, always know that the church is the only institution mandated with saving souls on the earth. The United Nations will never have a fund for missions and evangelisation. The human soul is the most important asset on the earth today! God bless you as you make a consideration.
